7 - Essentially vegetarian menus are the best way to lose weight.

Myth: It is not just a myth that the number of people - especially young people - who are asking for help to lose weight in the context of a vegetarian or low protein diet of animal origin is increasing.

Those who follow this type of diet almost always end up ingesting a higher amount of fat and carbohydrates. This is particularly relevant in the case of people with difficulty in metabolizing carbohydrates, since, being devoid of animal protein, they eat us in greater quantity, being more difficult to control the weight.

In a 2018 study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), it is clear that both the vegetarian and Mediterranean diet are effective in reducing weight.

The evaluation of metabolism is especially important for those who want to lose weight and follow this type of regime - whether for ecological, philosophical, religious or other reasons - "because we will have to carefully select the vegetables with the greatest amount of protein to conjugate them in a way correct, and in some cases prescribe supplements so that these people have all the essential amino acids in the body."
