RM Trainer advises you to create a clear picture of your final goal in mind, as motivation feeds on the final goal.
Motivation feeds off of the end goal.
When you want to lose weight your goal is to look better and feel better. At first, that goal and image is very clear, but as you start dieting and working out you tend to forget that clear image of your end goal. This is when you also start losing motivation. You don’t see the connection between choosing that salad over those fries and your end goal as clearly anymore.
Same with saving money for retirement. As soon as your end goal of why you’re saving money leaves your mind it will be harder for you to see the connection between every choice you make and your end goal.
Find a clear mental image of your end goal and don’t let it leave your mind.
If you want to lose weight - image yourself on the beach with your dream body.
If you want to save for retirment - imagine yourself on a beach sipping margaritas at the age of 50.
If you want to get better grades so you can apply for your dream college - imagine yourself already being there and taking classes there.
Keep that image in your mind 24/7. And think of every choice you make is bringing you closer or further away from your goal. Never stop thinking about it until you reach your goal.
All a dream needs to be done is someone who believes it can be done!
