We are responsible for staying as healthy as possible to enjoy our lives, protect our children and contribute to our community. I, for one, take my responsibility very seriously.

We all have our bumps and bruises. And, minor joint pain is, let’s face it, unavoidable as we get older. However, there is no better feeling than navigating life freely and unencumbered.
Over the last 3 weeks we have discussed managing expectations, clean eating and exercise. For most, the hardest part of becoming and/or staying fit is holding ourselves accountable.
Make A Schedule And Commit
We start with great intentions. We eat clean and exercise for a week, two weeks or even a month. Then we fall off the wagon and never get back on. Find the perfect time (even if its early morning!), pencil it in your calendar and put it on recurring. Then, prep your food for the week and get after it!
Find Motivation… It Can Be Anything
Getting fit for an upcoming vacation or wedding. Feeling confident at the beach club tiki bar. Or, playing pain-free with the kids in the backyard!
Earn Your Meals
Think burn before consume. Break off 50 pushups before you eat breakfast. Do 25 squats before lunch. And, if you know you’re going to consume a nice big meal for dinner, do both and throw in some burpees.
Set Goals, Then Crush Them
We spoke about making goals attainable. Don’t stop when you reach them-use that as more motivation to propel you forward!
Keep a Journal
Keep a journal of accomplishments and nonsuccesses. Doing this can help you monitor what went right or wrong when trying to achieve goals. You can identity patterns when things do not go quite as planned and make adjustments.
Summarizing the last three articles, learn how to best manage your expectations, create achievable goals, adopt the right nutrition, plan your workouts the best, and be responsible throughout the process. After all we all have a responsibility to stay healthy.
