But RM Trainer shows here some suggestions to try to deceive this desire to devour sweets…
Try to ignore the craving for sugar – If you manage to resist and ignore the sugar, it is likely that after a few minutes, that craving will end. Try replacing that desire with any task that makes you busy and focus on something different.
Find a substitute - The fruit will be a good substitute, because although it contains sugar, it is not refined and contains some fiber, vitamins and less calories. If you don't have fruit on hand, a glass of ice water can also help.
Eat regularly - Avoid blood sugar fluctuations, normally the desire to ingest sugar has to do with low blood glucose levels and the body asks for energy (sugar), if we manage during the day to have normal blood sugar levels this desire does not appear.
Get enough sleep – If you don't get enough rest, you will be more tired during the day and this will make your body ask for quick energy, which is normally sugar.
Don't opt for artificial sweeteners - They may satisfy your taste buds, but they will be “confusing” your hormones, particularly insulin. Your tongue can taste the sugar, which triggers your brain to produce extra insulin to absorb it. Repetition of this pattern could lead to Diabetes.
Recommendation, if you don't have sugar at home, it will be easier not to give in to temptation, so avoid buying sweets and other foods full of sugar. Be lucid when you´re shopping.
Don't forget that sugar is one of the biggest poisons of the century!
