Having a creased abs should be one of the most desired goals for everyone!
But do they do it most effectively? Will the selected exercises be the most suitable for the physical condition of those who practice them? Is the technical execution the most correct?
Note that some exercises may not be the most suitable for you and, in addition, may even compromise your spine health in the future.

- Genetic disposition: some have a greater predisposition to accumulate that unwanted fat in the abdominal area;
- Lack of sleep: sleep deprivation increases the cortisol (stress hormone) production which will enhance the accumulation of abdominal fat;
- Stress: just like lack of sleep, excess stress causes the hormones production that contribute to the loss of lean mass and increase in fat mass;
- Food restriction: a diet that does not ensure the daily caloric needs will slow down the metabolism, causing the body to burn fewer calories;
- Overeating: eating more calories than you spend will cause your body to accumulate fat;
- Dehydration: The consumption of water associated with a balanced diet rich in fiber and minerals contributes to the feeling of satiety, to the correct absorption of various nutrients and balance in the body. Processed foods should be avoided as they are rich in salt, contributing to dehydration and consequent fluid retention.
- Alcohol consumption: alcoholic beverages are very caloric and therefore contribute to an increase in abdominal fat.
- Bad posture: bad postures adopted in everyday life associated with weak muscle tone reveal the image of a prominent abdomen.
- Planning: many are those who train the abdominal too much, disregarding the exercises that involve the large muscle groups that, when properly worked, contribute to the acceleration of the metabolism, thus burning more fat.
- Exercises choice: some of the loudest exercises fail because they do not so effectively request the deeper muscles, responsible for protecting the spine and reducing the abdominal perimeter. Have you ever thought that some boards might be more effective than the traditional crunch?
